Photos that count a history, full of emotion and magic
Look for photographer for our wedding resulted, maybe, the most complicated part of all the organisation; partially because we did not know the extensive offer that went to find, but overcoat because after a pair of interviews (maybe did ten or twelve in total) darse that the photos went to be the only memory perdurable in the time of this so special and ephemeral day that it is the wedding.
We feel pressure, and a lot of responsibility, for choosing to a squad that really counted our history. We did not want only beautiful photos, but an expert eye that captured the soul and feeling of the moment, that reflected the emotion of what lived in each instant.
Xavi invited us to his studio and counted us through his photos the histories of life of other couples with which had worked. It liked us his warmth, his attention to the details, the passion with which speaks of his profession; it liked us that the report after the ceremony would be short, because the action also was with the invited; it liked us that it would not have posed neither photocalls, but instants, smiles and gazes “stolen” from his teleobjetivo; it liked us that they would be discreet, would be but without being seen, would photograph but without being in half.
The experience was as it described it to us: before the wedding, during the preparativos, amuse us doing photos with our more wanted beings; the environment was distended, professional and ameno. During the “first-look”, know that they were, but I do not remember them. The same spent in the ceremony and in the start with the invited. Afterwards we did some 20 minutes of photographic report where captured the magic of this connection that seat with your another half to the start of the ceremony… Before it did very weighed already had ended up. And from here, we went us to enjoy with our familiar and friends. They did us a lot of photos, but do not know neither where were.
After having received the album, the more than 600 photos edited and the video, can confirm that our report counts a history, the history of this day, but also the history of how arrive, of how are, with artistic photos, beautiful and full of emotion.
If you allow me share some lessons learnt (that I expect result useful),would be these:
(i) Reserve time to devote him to the conversations with Xavi, his attention to the detail well deserves it, especially because it will accompany you in the process so that you do not lose you in the overwhelming work that can be choose photos… Is worth it that you do it with affection and with time, without hastes;
(ii) The “first-look” is a moment special, where only will be your couple and vosotr@s… Is intimate, is delicate, is very personal… In Spain is not tradition but I recommend it encarecidamente;
(iii) Xavi will not try to sell you any “pack”, but is worth it to do photos, video and album… The video because in spite of the quality of the photos, the movement, the shine, the parliaments, only capture entirely in the video. Besides, the edition of the “trailer” is fantastic. On the album, the quality of the material and the setting is probably of the best that saw… Look more a book of art that an album of photos. By experience with friends and familiar, the album is what more looks and more shows , and the form in which the maquetan is worthy to be taught.
The 600 photos of the pendrive are fantastic, but run the risk to be forgotten in the pendrive. And yes, it is a big investment, maybe the second bigger of the wedding, but we would go back it to do… Is the only that really will accompany you in the time further of your own memories.
